Last monday I disassembled the third engine, but I was not alone. TOOL came by to help/assist me in the process. It was a nice meet, he gave me a lot of little tips and advice !

But before he came I started to remove the accessories, and after a bit it looked like someone tried some porting.
I manage to save the oil pan gasket, it wasn't looking bad, like if it have been changed recently.
Ok, now the engine is ready to be open and TOOL is here, so we started working.
I notice that this time there is 18 bolts on the end plate when the Mazda manual say there is no n°6... (which mean only 17)
Time for the openning

And one more time, bad surprise inside... That's some nasty porting

We also found some weird sealant in the water hole of the front plate...
The rear rotor lost his bearing

The front rotor seems ok

I don't have good pictures of the housings, but they are missing chrome but it's not deep, TOOL said I could eventually re-use them the day there will be no other 12A housing available.. something that could happen soon. But they are almost for junk...
I'm a bit dissapointed with all this.. am I really meant for the rotary world ? I don't know it might be a sign.. or maybe the hard way to get in ! I will not give up
Now the long process of cleaning and checking all the parts from the two engines has begun. I will post some pictures of the housing, and some of the checking of the parts !
Thanks again to TOOL ! You were helpful
