Re: Identify these connectors - 12A engine

I just ended up removing the jumper wire and just cutting the other end, tucking it away. haha.
The other black connector I just left alone. I have a manual and found a good one online, but couldn't seem to trace it out. Ah well! no worries.

Identify these connectors - 12A engine

Hey. My car is an 84 GS model with the 12A engine. It is left hand drive. Can anyone identify these connectors. They are located right next to the firewall and are coming off the main wiring harness. One has has three wires going to it. One wire I removed and it was a black GND where the jumper wire...

Re: New Rotary owner - Ontario Canada

GX? You mean a GSL or is it a GSL-SE? Great looking car :) Remember to check that your OMP is working correctly and not sticking like mine was. It only had 79k km on the motor and was never winter driven. Came from Nova Scotia. Gas tank was disgusting inside too (rust). Fuel filters are Key and clea...

Re: Just bought my first rotary- Matt Desmond

But I'm saying check your fuel for debris anyways. There's a drain plug you can unscrew, Size 14mm. My tank was disgusting inside. I'm in the process of cleaning it out and treating it with the POR15 sealant.

Keep the fuel clean. Maybe drain your fuel tank and check for any debris in there.

Re: Thinking of getting into rotary.

AN FB is a great option. Rotaries are unique for sure. I dunno about there but here in Canada the GSL and GSL-SE came with power steering :) But! Who needs power steering anyways? You barely notice it while driving and If you are turning the wheel while at a stand still you don't know how to properl...

Re: Greeting!

I just have an 84 GS and an 83 GSL that is basically a donor car. I would love to make it into a rally car some day, but I don't have the money or the space to work on it. The inside was in bad shape when I got it. Parts stripped everywhere. But I got an engine, glass moonroof, Rear end and some ext...

Re: 1985 GSL automatic stalling

Hi All, I have a 1985 GSL 12A automatic with 38K on it. Took it for a spin the other day, and noticed a slight 'miss', and before I had gone a mile or so, starting losing power. I could coax it just enough to get home. Up till then, it ran perfectly smooth, idled nicely - just a great car. So, I re...

Re: My first rotary!

Hey there, nice ride :) Make sure you check the Oil Meter Pump is working properly. I bought a 1984 GS model and the OMP was stuck wide opened. Fouled the plugs a lot. Took me awhile to notice the problem. Luckily it was Wide opened and not the opposite.. anyways! I highly recommend that. My float b...
