Double pipe italian style racing beat muffler built 1990 built with italian quality mild steal 450x200x4mm. Idle 1600 U/ min
with db killer, engine did not work anymore, worse flow. idle 1600 U/ min no performance at all.
Without any change to loud idle 2000 U/ min best flow horrible sound
Attention only the muffler where changed, nothing else. And believe me the selfmade one sounds perfect with open exhaust ports.
Double pipe german/ italian style muffler selfmade 500x230x4mm german stainless steal idle 1900 U/ min better flow

Hi Thomas, your exhaust sounds really nice! Did you have the outer can rolled custom, or were you able to buy the 230x4 can ready made?
You've managed to get a bigger diameter than mine, mine is 8", 200mm round, 230mm is impressive to fit under the car. Mine looks to hang lower too, I think you did a better job mounting it neatly. I think mine is a bit longer though, and from the video it sounds similar, but I don't have a ported engine.
Does your silencer have 2 chambers with a baffle in the middle separating it? Is the baffle closer to front or rear at all? Single perforated tube in front chamber and a Y piece perforated tube in the rear? Do you pack both chambers the same? Also what are your exhaust tips, they look very thick wall, like there is an insert in them.
Have you done any dB measurements?

I have the outer can rolled custom to the max 230x530 can, James. The bigger the can, the better the sound.
My silencer have 2 chambers with a baffle exactly in the middle to separating it. Single perforated tube in front chamber and a Y piece perforated tube in the rear. I have the option to open the muffler on the rear and the front and the pipes are sticking in each other and changeable.
I pack both chambers the same.First stainless steal wool.,second special rockwool out of am Mercedes AMG race muffler. The exhaust tips are the italian Abarth style out of the eighties with ventury effect and very good chrom.
dB measurements: 84 db at bridgeport idle 1800U/min one meter from exhaust in free nature.
83 db at 3000 U/ min
