This is the way that mazda says it should be mounted Thomas. Would I win this argument at the German TUV? rdg :)
Dave you win the battle Dave vs TÜV

But:
This is the way that Thomas says it should be mounted Dave. It 's the front mount way. Much more easy to change the rubber and screw.

I agree Thomas. So much easier to change. No need to remove the mounting bracket which would be saving me a lot of extra work.

Last two pieces of the puzzle. Drop link brackets now back in. Settled on 4 bolts in the end rather than 2 bolts and two studs as my supplier did not have the studs in stock. A little bit more persuasion needed to get things lined up was all.
Bolts were M10 x 30 with 1.25 thread pitch.
My torque wrench had a good workout with the upper links and sway bar bushings needing final tightening once the car was back on the ground.

Thats the suspension all done ... just the nose to go back on now. It was sitting a little askew so that needs investigating.

Back on her wheels now. RB springs need some miles on them now to settle properly.

It is now sitting higher front and rear and using the internationally recognised finger units, this equals one higher in the front and two higher in the rear. Not that surprising as stock ride height in also higher in the rear than the front. Give it several hundred miles and I'll check it again.

Final prep for MOT tomorrow.

The hub centric rings (spigot rings) are secured to the inside of the wheel by moulded plastic clips. There is actually no requirement for them to be clipped on, they only need to match the outer diameter of the wheel hub and the inner diameter of the wheel center. As long as the wheel is secure, the rings will stay in place.

I had a nice set of headlamp washer covers which disappeared off the car at a Goodwood meeting. I'm not sure that I want to sacrifice another pair in the same way (and they are gertting more difficult to locate).

Thankyou for your concern Thomas h:

Well ... finally got picked up on both front inner wings for corrosion. It has been an advisory item for the last few years so not entirely unexpected.

No big deal though, booked in on Thursday for a little bit of cutting and welding and then I'll get the pass certificate.

There is a large grommet missing from the passengers side front floor that I'd best take care of sooner rather than later though!

Is there a Wallace in the drivers side?
Least you know it is a easy fix Dave....Car looking good in picture

Do not forget the washer rubber or Thomas will not let that go  Especially if he finds out someone gave 1 to you a couple of years ago!!
