Hi guys
There are 2 sources of reproductions I am aware of, both in Australia:
* Phil's Rotaries - these will be sourced from Asia and no idea on fitment. I don't think they send overseas either. Cheap and looks right though! See here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre ... 3305907178
* Fibremaz / Alexis Tretheway - Alexis got a die made to extrude these seals and has them made in Australia. They will be good quality. His set also comes with the top and bottom centre garnish seals if you have a US/Jap style rear. He's getting another lot made and will probably send overseas. He usually sells on eBay but has only advertised new batch on 1st gen rx7 group on Facebook (closed group): https://m.facebook.com/groups/247123554 ... 5468690409
He can also be contacted at

Re: 1985 Series 3 restomod with s5 13BT on LPG, R&P steering
I finished restoring my front side indicators. As noted in one of my posts above, you will see these are very different to the circular FC style ones fitted to EC spec series 3s. Australian spec s3 are the same as JDM s2/3 and fit inside the side moulding forward of the wheel arch. US models also had indicators fitted there, but they look different, with a rectangular reflector section on them.
Anyway, I took them from this:
To this:
Very happy with them for an 1 hour project. I can only attach 3 pics per post here, but a full writeup on how I did it is on my AusRotary log: http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php? ... 0#p2819610

I've been keeping my AusRotary build log updated but I've been lazy here.
As I ramp up to dummy fitting everything in my engine bay, I've picked up lots of new go fast bits: Davies Craig EWP150 and controller, Spal Extreme 3000cfm 16" fan, Green Brothers Racing preturbo mechanical water injection kit, coolant pump for LPG converters, new Mazdaspeed competition engine amd transmission mounts, 10mm thick billet sump baffle/engine stiffening plate, FMiC and set of NOS side body mouldings

As usual, that's a good score aye bro!
EWP and competition mounts are on my future to do list haha. That I/C looks slick as. Interested to see how the fitment is!

Re: 1985 Series 3 restomod with s5 13BT on LPG, R&P steering
Thanks! The I/C is 450x300mm core, which by all accounts should fit fairly well in front of the factory radiator and in between the radiator support panels - particularly if you don't have aircon (which most UK cars don't!). It is Aeroflow brand, which is an Australian rebadger of Chinese manufactured gear. The core is tube and fin and looks to be very good quality though and they claim only 1psi pressure drop at 18psi. Black powdercoating looks nice too.
With the water injection, the IC shouldn't have as much work to do in terms of cooling, so pressure drop and flow is quite important...particularly once I reveal the turbo side of things. I'm staying mum on that for now.
We're also yet to decide on how this is all going to fit together. I will have cold air induction and an airbox to house the air filter. Fitting that, with the I/C, 2.5" intercooler pipes, radiator, aircon condensor, EWP somewhere down low and oil cooler, is all going to be a bit of a squeeze. On the passenger side, I also need to mount the electric power steering pump, cruise control actuator, LPG converters and that small coolant booster pump (to run coolant through the converters to keep them from freezing up from LPG converting from liquid to gas). We may end up fabricating new radiator mounts and orienting everything on a slant, or V-mounting it. Let's see.

Re: 1985 Series 3 restomod with s5 13BT on LPG, R&P steering
Found a bunch of old pics of the car which reminded me how good it used to look.
I also found the originals of lots of old photos from 2006-2010 which were lost when Imageshack was bought it and restored them to my AusRotary build log: http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php? ... &start=255
