I've seen it elsewhere as well - shows the 5th gear ratio didn't change but the lower gears did.
Only way to know for sure though - James, can you measure your motorway rpms in top gear? You'll want to go off gps speed as I'm sure the speedo isn't that accurate.

Re: Mello Yello
My new tyre and wheel combo was causing some rubbing when cornering hard at my sprint event, even after some arch lip mallet massage. I knew that the watts linkage did push the axle to the left if the car was lowered.
So the answer is shorter and adjustable watts linkage arms.
Fortunately over on the Exile Forum a member Johnny Bravo was catering for such an issue.
He can also be contacted via PM on this forum for more details - memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1041
So i parked up the Mello Yello and removed the arms and popped them in the post. A few days later I received these -

And here are some photos of them installed. Easy adjustment in place with the central nut and then held in place with the two locking nuts either side.

The result is that the axle has come in line and it is now centred.

Nice bit of fabrication work on the watts link arms.
Might have some of that myself....

Spent yesterday at the Lotus test facility near Hethel. I was taking part in a sprint event held by the Borough 19 MC. No cameras were allowed unfortunately. But an excellent day out. No arch rubbing thanks to the adjustable watts links.

Righto - didn't realise they were FC - never seen them in a light colour and they look leather?
The FC seats are way more comfy and supportive than the FB I can totally agree on that.

Re: Mello Yello
I took part in Motorsport at the Palace at the weekend. A celebration of an awesome the historic motorsport venue that is Crystal Palace Park. It is a two day event that includes static club displays and sprint events.
The Sunday was great weather wise. Had some support from friends. Brilliant fun on track with steady improvements each run. I ended the day with a time of 42.28 and 48/98 competitors - which means nothing really. So i will list the 3 cars ahead and behind me.
TVR Vixen - Audi RS6 - BMW 528i - ME - Dolphin America - Lotus Cortina MK1 - Datsun 510.
The Sunday was wet and they had to shorten the course because of safety. So conditions were not ideal. I was a spectator down at the hairpin and saw how the crowd loved it when cars got sideways, so thought i would practise my drifting skills
Also had a visit from Derek and Dave which was nice.
The rain also made for some great photos
