All those buttons infront and behind the gearbox...what are they?Marc S wrote:Took a trip to Ramon's shed, picked up a few things![]()
my old boot carpet...no amount of cleaning would lose the stains...
new carpet, and rear seat...which has fixed two things, the split in my rear seat, and the bent handle on my load cover!
The FC seats went in too
and I fitted a leather gear gaitor thing, and fixed the dash lights in the centre console![]()
Quite a productive day off

Re: Vyv - my series 3
I've finally found a front splitter I like, I had a quick test fit today, and it'll fit well with a little trimming
excuse the cr4p pics, my phone is in a case, which covers some of the lens, doh!

the Kuwe front bumper is up for grabs if anyone wants it, collection only, unless you're close enough for me to deliver it

Re: Vyv - my series 3
Yeah, fair play. I asked because it looks just a tad narrow, although it does follow the line of the vents so it's not too dramatic an issue. It's quite like the old racing RX-3 type ones, but plenty of cars had them in period. Wonder what the odds of finding a Capri one or Opel or similar? I was goign to go for a similar type of jobbie when I scored Ian's Elford bumper instead, which kinda made it academic lol
Re: Vyv - my series 3
It is a bit narrow, be nice if it was full width, but I'm not sure I'd want to try and fill the centre section to increase it by a few inches...although it might be possible. Something to look at I guess, see if it's worth the extra grief.
I keep seeing similar ones on some nice old Jap metal, so the European origin doesn't bother me...too much

Well, the splitter thing is fitted, it is a bit narrow, but it kinda works, and if it was full length, it would look odd from the side. I tried it, and was shocked!

Next up is an engine swap, elford conversion, and respray. Should be a busy few months, I've decided to paint it myself, I've been playing with "liquid wrap" which is a rubber coating, designed to be spray painted, and I really like the gunmetal grey, so Vyv will change colour. I know, I know, matte finishes are hard to maintain, and they're a bit "faddy" but hey, I can't afford a proper respray, and I'd really like all the panels to be the same colour...and of course, the grey will peel off, causing no damage to the paint underneath, should I wish to do so in the future
