Ignition problems.
Well I'm having trouble with my ignition. When I turn my key, it doesn't turn the motor. But if I take a hairpin (lol it was on my floorboard) and put it to the back of the ignition switch it sparks a turns the motor. I it my switch or tumbler?

Re: Ignition problems.
buy a haynes manual, sounds like you will need it.
find a wrecking yard and buy a replacement ignition wiring loom. I think you can just unplug the old one and plug in the new one. Very difficult to diagnose problems with electrics once some one else has mucked around in there.

Re: Ignition problems.
You need a multi meter and a bit of logical thinking to test out and work your way through. Or if you're not electrically minded perhaps you could find a mate to help?
I think you are asking, 'is it the ignition switch inside bit or the contacts themselves'? - that's a question we just can't answer from here.
