Does anyone have, or know what was in, the complete tool kit and other bits like the jack etc. I would like to know as I have a couple of leatherette bags full of miscellaneous hardware but would like to see a full set.
Maybe someone who has a full set could take a photograph and post it.
Thanks

Re: Tool Kits
I'd be interested to know what accessories came as standard with a new 1st gen... I'm guessing toolkit, roofbag, handbooks?
then any other optional stuff available... mats etc?
anyone know?

Re: Tool Kits
Here'a my kit. It is still as supplied, even the spanners are still sellotaped together - You couldn't mend a pedal car with this derisory offering.
Wheel wrench (that has to be reasonable I suppose),
2 X open ended spanners,
plug spanner,
crap 'pliers' yeeuggh!
screwdriver
All unused and left in the boot all this time - not fit for purpose. Not a great pic sorry.
Also in the white pouch from the glove box, (forget to show them) are 2 X removal keys for the Clarion Radio/Cassette
Note the paperwork, particularly the 3 jaquard type factory/shipping cards that we kept.
Plus, as suggested above there's the scissor jack with winding handle and the bag for the roof.
Don't forget there was always a tin of touch up as well.
I'm not aware of anything else from Mazda themselves but the dealers were in the habit of putting a bouquet in the car when it was delivered or collected.
( I don't mean they farted, I mean flowers for the Missus......

Re: Tool Kits
thanks Dave, that's a pretty comprehensive answer.... I'll have to check my toolkit, see what I've got.

Re: Tool Kits
Yeah, I can hear the sound of toolbags being checked in RX-7 boots the legnth and breadth of the land
Never underestimate the value of an RX-7 toolkit. My FD one rescued Adam once when he complained of vague steering on the way to Santa Pod once. His oh-so-trendy alloy valve caps had been busily exchangin ions with the steel and cold welded themselves to the valve stems, and it was only because I had my FD toolkit that we were able to get it off. Even pliers and spanners that seem to be made out of stamped bacofoil can prove invaluable.
For the record, it was at about 10 psi. Less than atmospheric pressure, the boy's done well

Get NASA to pop Adam's wheel 'n tyre into space between the earth & moon and measure the pressure again. It'll be 24.7psi. That's what I'm betting.Lucky wrote: For the record, it was at about 10 psi. Less than atmospheric pressure, the boy's done well

Re: Tool Kits
Good idea Dave, though there has to be an easier way of increasing your tyre pressures
It'd also still be 7.3psi short of Mazda recommended pressure, too
