Home powder-coating kit

Post by ian65 »

Has anyone got a home powder-coating kit? I've been looking at them at the classic car shows and thinking about buying one for over 5 years now and think it might be time to bite the bullet and invest.
Anyone?

I was looking in to making my own powdercoating oven a while ago :o . Pretty simple stuff with plenty of YouTube video tutorials! Haha. Then pretty much just needed a gun and powder. If I can get on the PC at some point I'll try and post up more about it Haha. On my phone atm. I believe the Eastwood gun is decent - not sure if anyone in the UK is currently selling it

I've been looking at the Electro-static gun at the car shows for a few years now Jesse and it looks the biz.... it'll powder-coat all kinds of things from alloy to stainless to glass bottles.......... all sorts of things it's so versatile.

Martin at RetroRestore has put together a good beginners guide video for it...

He also made his own powder-coating oven as well which look easy enough to do and is a good size...
