Hi I have just replaced the original radiator with an aluminium one , it’s exact in every way and appears excellent quality, there is one issue , the original sensor for the water level warning which fits in the centre of the top of the rad is smaller in diameter than the hole in the replacement radiator, does anyone know if the sensor from a later model may fit ?
Thanks in advance if anyone can help

Re: 1st gen radiator switch
I think kiwiwdave had this issue also.
He got a new nut of the correct thread welded in place.

Re: 1st gen radiator switch
Find an ally nut that matches the OEM level sensor. The guy that did it for me welded the original location closed and then drilled another hole and mounted the ally nut on top. I don't recall what the thread pitch was but easy enough to find out. Any hardware store will be able to tell you.

Hi I am going to change my radiator and oil cooler 1982 series 2.
I have had rads for long time but not got around to it, been measuring up this morning
looks as though fixing holes maybe slightly out
and looks as though will need to fabricate brackets
to attach oil cooler to rad.
Be interesting to see if you have you any pictures of your new install (you say no issues)
what make did you buy if you don't mind me asking ?
Did you replace oil cooler and did you use existing oil lines (any issues) or buy new ?
Been looking at oil lines off ebay from Mazdatrix.
Cheers Phil.
