Riviera Classic Car Show TORBAY 2017

Post by DKWW2000 »

Went to the show again this year on Paignton Sea Front. Very Busy with locals & loads of Grockles.
Two guys came up and were very interested in the car asking its history, about the engine etc etc. They came back a couple of times & I saw them again later hovering around the people looking at the engine display, they then approached me & passed me a A4 envelope:-

This was for the "Sports Car" catergory of which there were around 80 ish! 2nd was a pristine looking MGB & 3rd a Triumph Spitfire.

At 1600hrs the presentation took place with a local TV celeb handing out Trophies:-

Wow Pete,
your rotary promotion Tour seems to be very succesful. What are your secrets?
Rotary engine model? How you can explain the function?
My full respect for your engagement. th:

Emmets used to mean the same as Grockles (Holiday Makers) but now it means Incomers or those that have moved to the village from another part of the country :o

There was a family from Kidderminster who took great delight in telling me that he had seen a white one around the Worcester area several times but did not know what it was, he even had a picture of it on his phone but it was very hard to see, I think it was Tweety belonging to GT James? They are getting more well known, lots were telling me they had read about them but had never (or not for many years) seen one.
