Hello from Belgium

Post by DT205 »

Hello,
I'm Dieter from Belgium.
A 38 year old former mechanic, now parts advisor in an Opel/Citroën dealer.
I've always been working on cars and having 'sporty' models.
My former cars include 205gti, 106 rallye, Jaguar xk8, a couple mx5's, impreza gtt, nissan S14.5, rx8,...
I loved my Rx8 wich i had streetported and added some extra's as a full exhaust, corvette coils. ...
But driving it as a daily was too expensive.
Now i've got a company car so i bought myself a gen 2 rx7.
I will be opening a topic in the projects section about it.
Hope to get a lot off info on this forum and possibly help some people myself.

Hi Dieter,
Nice looking car. Yellow headlights look good, I remember just how foggy it got when I lived in Lier for 6 months in the 1970s.
Welcome to the Forum,
regards Pete

Thanks for the warm welcome.
I wouldn't go as far as saying rotary is the best but i like unusual engines and this one is very interesting :D
Still need to learn alot.
The color is not original. It once was a silver car but someone repainted it in this burgundy metallic red. a different color is planned.
I live in outgaarden wich is a small village next to hoegaarden (from hoegaarden beer wich I don't drink  )

Welcome Dieter. I didn't realize that Hoegaarden was a village. I just like the beer. 0-0 I'm wondering why your car is fitted with yellow headlamps. I know that some countries require them or is it just your preference?
