Re: insurance
Hi Mont,
welcome to the forum mate..
There are 3 Elfords on the forum.... I've got one, so has John (Johnnyboy) and also James ( Silverarrow)
My Elford is insured with Footman James (0843 357 1917) on their classic car policy and I pay £155.00 with a 3000 mls a year limit.
I'm 46 with 6 points so not too bad really. My standard series 3 car last year was only £112... but I only had 3 points then!
John's with "Lancaster" (ie. the old MG Owners Club insurance company). Elford Turbo, £3000 agreed value, 60 years old, 6 points (oops...), 6000 miles a year, £100 excess, includes commuting and breakdown recovery and with a no claims discount building = £155.
I don't know who James uses but he'll maybe be able to tell you.
Great to have another Elford Turbo on the forum... post up some pictures if you get chance ( we love pictures!!)
Enjoy the forum.... there's a lot of love for 1st gens on here!
cheers,
Ian

Re: insurance
Hi Mont,
Another common choice is Heritage from Norton Insurance Brokers, Birmingham Area.
We pay £131 for 3000 miles with an Agreed Value on Policy of £6000. That's for that beautiful Silver S3 in the top banner pics, that one on the grass with the red coach line....Completely standard car though, not Elford.
Oh many greetings by the way. Codge by name = codge by driving style....."the over rev buzzer shall NOT buzz, ever".
