neutral select spring

As above, looking for a neutral select spring. Replaced the seals in the gearbag yesterday and the spring that centralises the shifter in neutral was broken, and had been for some time. Mazda part number M501-17-465B.

Anyone got an old gearbox they can cannibalise for me?

I've certainly got one you can borrow to get you going, and you could replace it when you find one.

Thankfully it is not an essential item, all it does is pull the shift leaver back into the middle. No hurry at the moment and got an email out to madza and atkins to see if either has one. If not it will go back together without. It looks like a pig to fit so not too bothered if I cannot get one.

I changed mine but had the gearbox out at the time.... don't know if it's even possible to fix it with the box still in the car.... it would be a right sod to do in situ

if your gearbox is currently out, it's best to do the spring now.
