RB Exhaust System

It's worth a try. Headers should be easy enough to find, but the rest of the system is another story.

Note that the RB system may not fit RHD cars without mods due to steering box so unlikely to find in UK/Ireland. Belgium/Netherlands is the best place to look imo.

Cheaper to build one than purchase new and ship.

Really? I didn't know about the differences between RHD and LHD exhaust systems. Never stop learning!
But my car is a LHD, so there won't be any problems - hopefully.

that's a good call about the LHD /RHD and the steering box Tool..... I hadn't thought about that either but it makes sense...... the design of the manifolds on RHD would probably be restricted by the steering box position whereas LHD cars have no restrictions and no compromises would have to be made.

This is a common problem on FDs too, where RHD models need a whacking great dent knocked into the downpipe to clear the steering column. Many people have fallen foul of the impossibility of getting LHD-model downpipes to fit. I'd have thought there was a fighting chance with the RB headers on an FB though, they're quite swept back aren't they? This is how my headers fit on my RHD FB

This link shows the long primaries design, where the 2 separate pipes do not join until just before the rear axle.

Nik, note the 2 pipes are side by side on the headers, not over under (think shotguns).
Yours is custom, but I've seen a few short primaries headers like yours so someone was making them for RHD markets.

I have a couple of LHD cars so not an issue for me. I have a full RB system fitted fwiw.

I really never thought of the differences between LHD and RHDin the engine bay. Thanks for the pictures, Lucky! What about the heat? I've heard of RB-Headers getting quite hot... Will there be any problems at the steering box, concerning rubber parts and seals?

@ TOOL: Thanks for the link, now I knwo, what you mean. Is there any advantage or any disadvantage between the two designs? Generally I would say, it won't matter to me...?

Long primaries make more power, keeping each chambers gasses separate for longer.

Heat isn't really an issue on the steering boxes. On LHD cars like ours, the bush in the idler arm needs to be replaced anyway, if its still there at all. Go urethane. 10 minute job. Mine takes the heat no problem.
