Nice looking, unmolested, low mileage example. Listed as having ABS, Airbag & Air Con.....is that correct Kevin?

I doesn't have aircon or airbag, doubt it has ABS. This is a pretty standard early FC. I am sure his wife setup the ad on Ebay!
When I got there the car was in the garage covered in a custom made cover.
The owner tells me it has never been driven in he rain. Indeed he wouldn't let me take it out for a test drive because it was raining. It has never been in an accident and all paintwork is 100% original. I will test drive it when I pick it up. He assures me it drives without fault but if I am not happy he will give me back my deposit.
It started on the button. He was a mechanical engineer and must have been successful because you couldn't believe the property he lives down a half mile private drive. His house is set in 5 acres. He showed me his 1920's Phaeton which he is getting ready for sale. He is 83 years of age and is selling up a number of things. The Mazda was last Mot'd in 2014 and has only been run up and down his drive but on a regular basis.
If you were looking to buy a car from someone you could trust, this is him. A bit like buying a car from your Dad!
I am in Spain this week so will pick it up in a couple of weeks.

Got the car home today.
Drove over 100 miles home and it ran as sweet as a nut all the way. 85 mph on the M25 and wanted to do more.
Will try and post some pics later this week.
The Mrs didn't really get the experience but her favourite car is a Toyota Land Cruiser
One day I will get my Elford back

after the hassle and upset you've had with your Elford you deserve to enjoy this new car Kev. Get out in it as often as you can and make the most of it.
