I've got to say I love things like this, generosity on the forum for other members

Shame about the engine Danny, but every cloud... A 13b will liven things up

Thanks for the offer, but i have allready traced a 13B nearby. It will have a compleet rebuild by a rotary specialist in Holland. Only a one hour drive for me.

Re: Danny's RX7 FB
yes but that's for new parts, don't compare with some old knackered 13B. If you already have a 12A, sure it would cost a lot getting new housings, but a rebuilt 13B wouldn't be much cheaper by the time you have it in the car. Any engine needing a rebuild may need new parts. Atkins lists 13B housings housings for over £900.
I went the 13B route with my car but I found a low mileage engine, any rebuilt engine ends up expensive, I'm just saying you don't have to ditch the 12As just yet.

Re: Danny's RX7 FB
is this a S2 RX7? The chrome peel on the housing looks particularly bad, I often see on these strip down threads the earlier cars suffer worse from this than the later cars. Mazda revised the housing plating process on the S3, although they're still not as good as the later engines.
