Looking at those pictures is sad.
Glad I have spare PP housings...
Got a 13b in the shed if you want me to strip it and check it's condition If your looking. ??

Cheers

I've got to say I love things like this, generosity on the forum for other members  and it's certainly not the first time on here...

Shame about the engine Danny, but every cloud... A 13b will liven things up sya

Thanks for the offer, but i have allready traced a 13B nearby. It will have a compleet rebuild by a rotary specialist in Holland. Only a one hour drive for me.

You can get 12A housings from atkins, they machine down 13B housings.

1147€ a piece! when they are availble... plus shipping. Expensive! and you need an rebiuldkit as well.

That seems a tad prohibitive... I'll stick with the 13b option

yes but that's for new parts, don't compare with some old knackered 13B. If you already have a 12A, sure it would cost a lot getting new housings, but a rebuilt 13B wouldn't be much cheaper by the time you have it in the car. Any engine needing a rebuild may need new parts. Atkins lists 13B housings housings for over £900.

I went the 13B route with my car but I found a low mileage engine, any rebuilt engine ends up expensive, I'm just saying you don't have to ditch the 12As just yet.

is this a S2 RX7? The chrome peel on the housing looks particularly bad, I often see on these strip down threads the earlier cars suffer worse from this than the later cars. Mazda revised the housing plating process on the S3, although they're still not as good as the later engines.
