I did mine 8 years ago but you can still buy the rebuild kit for the carb...

I went to see this one, possibly just before you bought it. Wasn’t for me but no doubt will make a great car, and rare to have matching interior and external paintwork! I was very close to buying it, getting pretty desperate after looking for a 1st Gen (off and on) since the late 90’s so I look forward to seeing what I could have had! Anyway, my 20 year search did end recently, with a car well known to the forum, so good luck with the work and keep us posted on progress...
