Sparks off trailing coil. (rear rotor HT leads disconnected) It's not the HT lead to the dizzy either, tried several with same result. Odd.

I'd save do it yourself - pull one plug each side and you'll be able to compare and see immediately if the is compression in that rotor.
The compression tester is great to let you know comp is slightly down or if your chambers are unbalanced, but if you got nothing in one side then knowing the compression of the other end is reasonably pointless.
Assuming it's the worst, options now are:
Rebuild your engine
Find a decent running 12a and do a keg swap
Find a decent running 13b 6 port and drop that in.
All have pros and cons -
Rebuilding will be expensive given the rarity of housings and rotors that haven't splayed the apex seal slots, but you end up with a motor that will last you many years.
12a keg swap is straight forward and very cheap, but how hard will it be finding one you trust.
13b swap is a piece of cake right up to the carburising of it - then it becomes a bit annoying trying to find an adaptor for the Nikki or parting with cash for an IDA, or going EFi with an EGi loom and high pressure fuel pump, you get more power and more chance of coming across a full runner.

Plugs out of the good rotor ...

Trailing is very light grey ... signs of a little lean?

Leading is darker

This is the same result as the previous two sets that have come out. Nothing earth shattering, just interesting.
Reconnected everything and fired her up today. Starts first time , shame it's only as a monorotor.

The bad news ... front rotor totally fails with BIG FAT ZERO.
The good news ... rear rotor gives a stunning performance


So in this case, knowing the numbers is a big plus. Cuts down the shopping list for a start.

Nothing much to report. Have tracked down both 12a and 13b runners but nothing in concrete yet.
Options.
The easy way is get the car to Tim @ RX Motors. No messing with pulling the motor out and the car is outta my hands. Downside is that I don't learn anything and it's nearly 100 miles away!
Get the motor to Era. It's close enough that I can go and do stuff and learn something (apart from making tea)
Downside is organising getting the motor out.
Also requires helpful peoples so will have to pretend that I actually have friends
Running motor swap. Could get me up and running for summer. Requires a bit of planning as I have nowhere to store a motor so could become a drawn out process. Also requires helpful peoples so will have to pretend that I actually have friends
