A bit of an update....
New floor is in. This includes bead rolling for added strength and to match the existing bead rolls on the rx7 boot floor pan. You will also see it is a drop in replacement, so it is technically reversible and I could install the spare wheel back in if ever needed.
You will also see my new custom fabricated adjustable panhard rod.
Very happy with this so far. There is lots of room under there. I'll need it for the big LPG tank, but equally I could put into a large capacity E85 style tank if I ever wanted to switch.

Yes, there is only rust in 2 parts of the car: the rear beaver panel as shown in these pictures and a little in the A pillars. Both spots are very common to develop rust on almost all rx7s in Australia. They are caused by leaves/dirt getting stuck and staying wet whenever it rains. The drain hoses in the rear hatch area are undersized and block easily. For the A pillars, I have a theory that the rubber dams in the top corners of the windscreen are usually missing. These were designed to prevent the A pillar windscreen trims filing with debris and when gone, they fill with leaves etc.
I have a genuine New Old Stock rear panel which will replace the rusty section. It is probably the last genuine rear panel anywhere in the world, as Mazda ran out a few years ago and this one I found stored in a racing team's shed!

The shock absorbers are actually an Australian made brand, Pedders. These Pedders Sport Comfort Gas shocks are fantastic. Firm but comfortable rides. Our roads are quite rough, especially compared to the beautiful roads I recall driving on in Germany.
But these ones are being replaced by ride height adjustable ACbron coilovers. They will also have drop blocks installed on the diff to provide extra shock travel.

Nice job, same set up as my car I'm building, but a bit neater execution than mine!
