Re: Classic Motor Show pics
Wow, that looks like a show I'll be attending next year to take a trip down memory lane and see all the cars I had as matchbox models when I was little. Think that Ferrari must be a copy being on an '89 plate. Love seeing the Lancia's, there is a Beta Montecarlo that loves around my way somewhere. One of my good mates still has two coupe's and one HPE in storage, he used the HPE as a daily driver for a while such fun cars. Safe to say Lancia knew how to make a twin cam four banger.
Cheers for the pics dude

Re: Classic Motor Show pics
What an epic and awesome post Nik!
I glanced through it briefly last week but put off reading it properly until I had some quiet time to myself to read it from start to finish...... I'm glad I did..... it's just taken me an hour! Absolutley brilliant write up and pictures..... I feel like I've been to the show myself. Loved the bit about the 'depressed looking bottom feeder' ..... made me laugh out loud
It was great to see some of the cars I grew up with and lusted after as a lad...... things like the DeTomaso Pantera and the 1970's Maseratis. I've always had a soft spot for 1970's american muscle cars as well ...... if I moved in the US, I'd buy myself a nice Dodge Charger or a early 70's Firebird before I'd even found myself anywhere to live!. That Chevy Impala is just a thing of beauty isn't it?
As time goes by, I'm also getting a bit of an appreciation for the Delorean, an 80's icon.
The Cosmotron took me back to my childhood as well..... back in 1971, this is what we imagined everyone would be driving / flying around by the turn of the century...... a bit like the Jetsons...... instead we got the Peugeot 206 ..... WTF happened there?
The original Scirroco took me back as well, I had a silver one of those in the early 80's , a P reg........ plus the old Morris Marina..... just seeing the dash in that first picture took me back to my first car, a 1.3 Coupe.
Thanks for taking the time to post this Nik, if it took me an hour to read it, god knows how long it took you to write it and copy & paste all the links....
Amazing post!

Re: Classic Motor Show pics
Goddamn it Nik. I had 'things to do' this afternoon! And I should know better than to glance at one of your car show posts and think 'I shall just have a quick sqizz thru that'. EPIC as usual and I'll have to add this show to my 'must attend next time' list.... and I'll bring some spare batteries, just in case.
