Ok, so an update...

Thruxton has a noise level limit of 90dB...which is too low, even for me

I am in talks with Blyton Park Raceway. A few clubs have had good meets there, it is pretty central geographically speaking, and the price will be better - should be under £150 for the day. They have a good circuit, based on an old airfield, so no armco to hit if you go wrong, and can offer circuit driving, and some timed sprint events. They can offer camping, with mains hook up too

That sounds promising.

Currently being a track day virgin ( hope to change that before your event would come round) I have to say the idea of a 'fast' track like Thruxton is a put off to someone like me with a comparatively slow car that'll be more fun in slower corners. Blyton looks better. I'm certainly interested.

Fair play for putting yourself forward to organise something like this for everyone. It would be my idea of hell, I'm not a fan of organising people!
