Thanks again, dude, you guys got me out of a right hole there. I honestly tried to make your dad take some money off me but he wasn't having it. Didn't want to insult you, like  Maybe he felt sorry for me, the state I ended up in after boiling my pods in traffic on the M6. Forgot how hot an FD is when it's averaging 5mph

85 quid in juice? that's pretty good going..... I live about 5 miles from Deans garage and I've got a trip to Brighton coming up in a few weeks.... it'll be interesting to see how much that costs me in the XJR.... I'll be well chuffed if it does it for that much...... no chance though I reckon.

Haha yeah m6 traffic is the best
Glad its gone to good use rather than sit getting dusty and it will keep a great car alive. Thats funny i dont seem to have a issue giving him money usually he happily takes it from me;)
Not in it to make money just keep cars alive and well and try and help out where possible. V(o
Thats not bad going on the mileage and petrol cost, i remember it cost me nearly £60 to santa pod and back after bridge porting the motor and its only about an hour away, shock at first but the noise soon makes up for the cost. 8-)

Yeah, who knew? FD in economical parts truck shocker. To be fair, it started with a full tank, I filled up twice and it's half full now so it was probably more like £110- £120. But I did get 100 free Shell Points  And it isn't actually that useful at carrying big weird-shaped parts... it was a bit of a fiddle fitting it in  But other than that, perfect, lol

Dean's setup is pretty damned cool, especially round the back in the rotorshed (if you make it past the R100 with the intercooler the size of a garden gate). Rotorhead nirvana with goodies everywhere, and things like big Yankee superchargers always make a kid of me  Excellent bit when I pointed at the sad silver FB that's dented on pretty much every panel, no wheels, no lights, ARB trailing in the dirt and I said "that's a bit sorry for itself". Dean just shrugged and said "yeah, but we can't weigh it in; the cat sleeps in there" :D

That could be an interesting thread, what have you hauled in your rx7 this week? Theres a funny story with the cat, they moved workshop about 2 years ago from 10mins down the road and the cat actually made its way to the new workshop on its own and has never left.

I think I'll win that thread for this month at least!

Rear-seat mounted fuel tank last week... makes the car very noisy as you have to have the window open to a) let the filler neck stick out and b) clear the fumes out of the cabin

Image

wing filling 60% of the cabin this week. FD feeble boot space made even more pathetic by the damned battery box right in the middle

what do I win?

In all honesty, I'm not sure you could actually call it "in" the FB

Thats good use of the passanger seat and the tank looks quite at home in the back there too. I feel a " how many people can you fit in a mini " type challenge coming on, now where did i leave that engine hoist.....
