Driver's side front wing. And other bits

Post by Lucky »

Need a drivers' (right) side front wing for a Series 3 please, as good a condition as possible. Colour is irrelevant, just not rotted through please.

Also, front sidelight/indicator glass or entire unit (would you believe, I have five and none have glass  )

No doubt much more to follow as the damage becomes clear. Help get a once-pristine FB back on the road, thankyouplease

Nik

I have 2x RH indicator assemblies, 1x RH lens (tango version). Will send pics to your phone. Also have RH side repeater if you need it but I think you deleted yours?

Earmarked as yours if you want mate.

I'd definitely have the sidelight/indicator lens, Dave cheers. I'll de-tango it with a few seconds on the Dremel :D Let me know what you'd like for it, dude

You're right, side repeaters are a thing of the past. As is the entire wing, lol

What do I want for it? It's yours Nik ... my small contribution to tick off Safka's bucket list. Will send or we can hook up. I have Sunday / Monday free days.

I wasn't trying to insult you, dude  I was trying not to trade on a hard luck story, lol. But fine, if you want to insist on thrusting a sidelight lens upon me then I'd be honoured to relieve you of it ;) Not sure that I can get to you Sunday or Monday though. Any chance you could stick it in the post? I'll reimburse you for that, of course. No no, I insist

Stacey may have a RH wing. I have offered to pick it up if that will help out. I don't mind heading down your way if we have mutual free days / hours / whatever.

UPDATE:

Massive thankyou to Adam (Rexi) and his dad, Dean for sorting me out with a really good quality wing! Much obliged to you gents, and much in your debt, especially since Dean wouldn't let me give any cash for it. I'll get the beers in next time we meet up, guys W(p Truly restores your faith in the community spirit of this club 8-)

...mind you, I did kinda earn it, lol. Eight hours and about 400 miles in an FD in a day to collect it ought to be enough punishment for anyone, lol

Free wing, £400 on petrol = still equals ouch! :)

That was good of Adam though - and great to hear that you're sorted 8-)

Lol, I find that if you keep a single turbo FD at around 100 leptons per hour it romps along without actually using too much gasoline. I got 283 miles between fill-ups and there was a bit left, which is pretty damned impressive. When I use the car for the daily commute I usually only get around 200 to a tank  Mind you, I'll be adding the £85 fuel bill to the insurance quote
