Re: The latest 1st gen RX7 sightings...
The car was a new build in NZ about 4 years ago. Jake purchased it on one of his visits while doing the Silver fern rally. I last spoke to Jake about a year ago but the engine was a 12a pp on ida. Bilstien suspension and LSD. 5 speed box. The car being a 79 is built to Historic rules for UK rallying. The rules have now been relaxed to allow up to December 31st 1986. Time to get working on my group b replica I guess.

Not this car. I think Carl freshened or checked the engine on this one a while ago.
Silverstone or Group B motorsport have a proper ex mrt group b rx and another using a group b shell under build if its not finished already.

Thanks Brian. I somehow had got a note on file saying that 'ETA' had been spotted at Queensferry. Must be my cocx up.

It may well have done. Jake lives in Somerset somewhere but could have taken it up north for some work. I would, they know their rally cars.

Don't know anything about the car on the left but the other one, HCK527W, I've known for the last 15 years and it's a complete basket case.
