Elford SU carb rebuild (please reply soon, sorry!)

Post by rei99 »

I will take my car to a meeting next week, so I need to take soon the right rebuild kit for the carb.
I've saw this link in another post by Ian:
http://www.sucarb.co.uk/CarbEssentials. ... ctId=10543
But wich "Include needle choice" and "Include piston spring choice" I need to take?
The other:

Include STD needle View BFS €11.08 €0.00
Include float WZX 1509 €5.25 €5.24
Include STD piston spring JZX 1088 €2.98 €2.91

I must take or are not need?
Sorry and very thanks who will reply soon 0-0

Hi Davide,
order the rebuild kit CRK 269 plus the BFS needle and you'll be ok to rebuild your carb

Running the BFS needle in mine, you should defo replace this part as they wear.

Word of warning I could not get it to run right with the green spring they supply and ended up using my old part. If you put the replacement spring next to the one in there is is longer.

Running 3 in 1 oil in the damper as well, seems smoother than with 20w
