good idea or not?
Dad refuses to use it he says it knackers the piston rings etc, I know that dosnt appyly to Rotary;s but just thinking with the old girl being stood for a while I should flush out the engine next time I do a oil change!

Well, you put it in with the old oil, and run it for a few minutes to get it round the engine...so I can see your Dad's concerns, but I have used them, and they do help to clean out the old gunk, and the new oil stays cleaner for much longer after the oil change 
That said...I wouldn't use it on a rotary with an OMP...
