12a housings in excellent condition are very sought after Jon and most people tend to hang on to them if they've got them.
They are no longer manufactured by Mazda which is why many of us buy up old engines from scrappers to take them apart in the hope that the housings are still good.
Your best best is to go down this route or to speak to Tim at RX Motors...... he's probably got some.

Is it true that you can get 13b ones machined down in width?

He's not the only one ;)

FYI that 12A on eBay is stuffed.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......

ahh right, I didnt know that :(

I have 4 spare housings but they are all stuffed...2 have almost no chrome left and 2 for some reason have corroded a hole from the outer water jacket to the outside of the housings...

these 12a parts dont seem to wear well lol.

Yes i believe its 5mm in total and you also get the added benefit of the larger exhaust port..

Ive got some NOS ones that have been ported - they owe me around £900 - let me know if your interested..

I would be interested in the NOS 12a housings you have.

Please send picks to ben@northshorprestige.com.au

what type of porting has been done and who has done it?
