Twas a great gathering of a good variety of rotaries. 140 were expected, but only 116 actually made it. The hangar was a surprisingly cool (in both senses of the wrord
) place to be on Saturday.
My journey was ~280 mile round trip in blazing temps, but car was faultless, even when stationary on M25 for quite a while, unlike several modern cars, a BMW included, which failed to restart when the jam ended. I saw one car stationary in the overtaking lane with hazard lights on as I drove off into the distance.
Great to see 10 1st Gens turn up, plus a few FC's, including Pete's gorgeous Vert. Thanks again Pete for the suspension bushes donation
That must be the biggest gathering of 1st gens for quite a while?
I didn't walk outside the hanger the entire day, just went round admiring the cars and speaking to owners. It was lovely to put some faces to forum names, and meet some familiar faces too.
Dan, Dr. FrankenRex on the RX-8 OC forum has set up a shared Google photos album here, with loads of photos, with more contributed by others too;

I see Charlie is already polling on the Facebook page about the format for next year's event, with the aim of using the same location, but making some changes/additions
