That's pretty keen to polish up something that won't be seen aye! haha. I think I would have just cleaned it up and put some sealant on it . Nice work though
Thanks Steve thanks Hobbawobba for the record still polishing groundhog day Anyway got my exhaust heat shields back 2day from the electroplaters i might try polishing them as well and i found my elford badges and had then rechromed so pleased with them Your right Steve i think once im happy with the gearbox ilbe glad ive done it.Be easier if i could take it in the livingroom and do it but dont thibk the misuss would be keen on that idea

Hi Adrian,
I didn’t go too mad with the polishing, just got it to a decent standard and lacquered it.
Those heat shields look like they’re zinc plated and yellow chromated, don’t polish them mate.
The chromate is there to protect the zinc from corrosion, and it will polish off easily. (that’s if I’m correct and it’s chromate, check with the plater)

Just bought a frame for my car 2 go on at the painters so suspension comming back off so it dont end up with paint spray on it

Busy day again defo getting there all new bushes in for rear axles started on plastics for interior back seat painted i use simonz aerosoles got 2 say good paint for an aerosole can more electroplating needed oh well in for a penny in for a pound lol

How come you are allowed Car Parts in the house/Kitchen? Ever since I got busted for putting parts (Expansion/Washer bottles) in dishwasher not allowed inside!

Ha ha spot on the missus goes mental when she cat hes me but she goes 2 bed early and thats when i get the stuff out .Ive got 2 be sneaky because shes on constant patrol looool just glued in some cut downrawplugs into my car handles hope it works

Hi Guys got some toptips 4 u last night (xmas eve) missus went 2 bed 9-30am 10pm.i check the coast is clear and in my homework comes cleaned a few bits of interior found chipboard was in rough condition so.putting a bit of strenth into ot diluted woodglue etc beadblasted fuel pump that ive had checked over and interoer bits ive zinc painted both Not sure wot to paint the fuelpump as the plate its fitted 2 now is zinc goldy colour .This is including tonights work which takes place in the garage6 , i might start on the servo 2night looks a bit rough lile the rest of this car lol

Looks good. I've used very thin/watery superglue around the holes for the clips to strengthen my door cards up aye. Otherwise it shouldn't be difficult to make new ones with fresh hardboard
