That is fantastic news Kev! Very strange it was in the town I live in the whole time 🤔

If I was home I’d have offered to check it for you .. but I’m on an oil rig currently

What a great end to such a crazy story ! (Apart from the car being in pieces of course!)

More than happy to help you source parts for it and hope you end up getting all the bits you gave him back !

Wow, after all this timeI wasn't expectimg that news!

Great to hear you'll be getting (some of) your car back, but sorry to learn a lot of stuff has not been recovered. I hope you are able to get it back on the road at some point, but it sounds like a challenge.

Had the car picked up and delivered to a local guy today. I was there when the guy dropped it off and I am in shock with the state of the car.
The parts missing:
Front bumper and spoiler
Windscreen
scuttle grill,
All glass
Rear hatch
Seats
Lights
Various internal and external trim
Petrol cap flap
Glass sun roof .
That is just after a quick look.
The doors are off but are in the car.
None of the parts i mentioned in my previous post are present.
What I can see of the interior it looks an absolute mess. The stereo has gone and the wiring has been ripped out.
Unless I can recover the parts it will not be financially viable to restore the car. Even if I find them a very rough estimate of the cost is £10k without sorting out the mechanicals.
I am trying to get the details, from the police ,of where the vehicle was recovered from to see if I can recover anything.
A very sad situation

That is so very sad to hear :(

Like you, I wonder if there are other parts of your car somewhere, but have not been associated with your car? How did the recovery people know what bits belonged to who, if there were several cars involved?

Thanks Adrian,
I should know in a few days whether I can recover any of those missing parts.
An option of a donor car could be perfect
