Are you leaving the side mouldings off?
I have fitted the drivers side, but the weather put a stop to the rest lol.

Spent this morning fixing the horn button and the washer pump, I reckon she is ready for the mot now.
Thanks to my daughter for the new Elford badges, far nicer than the clunky chrome ones ( my opinion lol )

😁👍

BTW, the more eagle eyed of you may have noticed, that it no longer has the “housebrick” fog lamp 😁

I replaced the outer bulb holders with twin filament stop/tail type, and moved the fog lights to the inner ones.

Looks so much cleaner to me 👍.

Hi James,
Just purchased a couple of new holders from the bay, then re-routed the cables accordingly at the back of the lamp.

So, I’ve been having all sorts of trouble getting the fuelling correct on the elford.
Just couldn’t get it to either rev cleanly or idle, so I stripped the carb yet again, only this time I removed the needle and checked it on a straight edge, lo and behold it was bent !!!
One new BFS needle later, and I can finally start to get some form of a tune into it… 😁🤪

Update !!
Ok so with the new needle fitted I can finally get a
sensible idle mixture of around 4-5 % co ,
time for a quick road test I reckon - guess what….
rear brakes binding now.
Ordered a couple of caliper rebuild kits, I WILL get this
thing so that I can go for a nice drive before I’m too old to enjoy it lol.

Quick update, been flatting and polishing the car and annoyingly have a few shading issues with some of the panels, only to be expected I suppose, due to me having to paint the car in pieces as not enough room in the garage to hit it in one go,
I have decided to get it mot’d and run it around a bit for this year while the weather holds out,
Have attached a couple of pictures so you can see what it looks like 👍.

My daughter left her vinyl cutting machine at ours for the weekend, sooo….
I think it’s ok for a first attempt.
