Hello,
I have blown out the rear box on my exhaust system, mostly due to rust by the looks. It seems to be an original system, has the thermal reactor etc. Are there any off the shelf options for the rear of this system? I am guessing not. What have people done to replace?
What is involved with replacing the whole system with a racing beat or like, do I have to remove air pump system etc as well? Does this only work with a totally different carb set up etc?
Cheers

Re: Exhaust options
Check out Essex Rotary. They offer a complete system plus the blanking plates you'll need when you've removed the air pump and thermal reactor, neither of which are needed. They are both emissions related and no emissions regs apply to our FB plus you'll be ditching some weight out of the car.
Carb works exactly the same as long as you plug any unused vacuum lines.
Either speak to Ashton or contact them via the website They may be able to supply just the back box. http://essexrotarystore.com/product-cat ... t-systems/

Re: Exhaust options
Thay exhaust does look quite nice. But holy moly it's pricey! I reckon you could get a full custom setup for less at the right place aye

Re: Exhaust options
The Essex Rotary exhaust looks like the Double S system, which was originally manufactured for Elford.
Contact them direct at https://stainlesssteelexhausts.co.uk/mazda/ and they should be able to do just the sections you require.
I got a reasonable price on the 3 exhaust sections without the header so may be worth talking to them to see what they can do.
Part numbers I was given by them are:
Centre Silencer SSMA53/1
Silencer SSMA53/2
Rear Silencer SSMA57
