I might try and get to Beaulieu. When do you need to confirm numbers?

No need to confirm for a while just yet.

The absolutely last day to purchase a ticket via the RX-8 OC shop will be Sunday 11 July.

Remember that Beaulieu will only Japanese cars into the stand area, other cars will be directed to the public car park. So if you have a problem nearer the time and have to bring another car, take a Japanese one if you can and you'll be able to join on the RX-8 OC stand anyway

Oh dear, the first event after lockdown is already falling apart

I've just spoken to Nigel (Events Coordinator, RX-8 OC) and he's confirmed there is a problem with many (including our) club stands not being available at Beaulieu this year! Nigel's statement:

Due to unforeseen circumstances I have been notified by Beaulieu Events Department that the whole show is currently booked out and therefore we can't book a club stand this year!
Beaulieu
We have now reached our capacity for Simply Japanese participant tickets, we hope to be able to release further tickets soon. Please email us at events@beaulieu.co.uk with the following information to be added to the wait-list for notification of any further tickets being released.
Past years they have automatically added the regulars clubs and then all we have had to do is confirm we are coming when booking the club tickets.

There are approximately 8 clubs booked in this year :o and the rest are Single Entry Bookings from individuals who have bought tickets direct and not coming as clubs.

For now will keep the monies within the club shop on the off chance they allocate more space for this years event, but the list is now closed off at 30 cars on our Club Stand if we manage to get one.

Events Team
Nigel spoken to Beaulieu today and put us on the "wait list" and so it's a question of watch this space.

I've booked a non-refundable hotel in the area, so it may be a weekend on the South Coast or a trip around the New Forest instead!

Really disappointed at this turn of events, but hoping Beaulieu manage to sort a solution.

NEWSFLASH!!

Very, very late, I know, but Boris has spoken and Beaulieu have now decided to allow more clubs to attend this event, so we are GO!

I recognise this might be a bit late for some, so can everyone who has expressed an interest confirm if they have already bought a ticket (either direct from Beaulieu or via the RX-8 OC shop, and still intends to go.

THIS IS URGENT, as the RX-8 OC need to place an order for the tickets asap, so they can be received in time for the event. For those meeting at the rendezvous point on the day, the tickets will most likely be handed to you there.

So, who's now going? Can everyone confirm I have this list correct?

1. Casey, ticket bought via RX-8 OC, meeting at rendezvous point
2. DKWW2000, ticket bought via RX-8 OC, meeting at rendezvous point?
3. KiwiDave?
4.

It's still not too late if anyone wants to join the party, just purchase a ticket via the RX-8 OC shop here: https://shop.rx8oc.co.uk/Simply_Japanes ... 22868.aspx - mention rx7fb.com and your forum name. BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE NOW (ideally this evening!)
