Yup. Cars in the show on the Saturday. Acceptable in the 80s category (naturally).

Cool. I've got a track session on Saturday and an AutoSolo slot on Sunday. I will keep an eye out for your Rx

Re: Retro Rides Weekender 29th - 30th May 2021
Here is a selection of snaps from the weekend. Not as many as I would have usually taken but was somewhat distracted with cooling issues and forgot to take the correct charging cable for my phone. Said phone died just as I was about to pap Ralph (Jo's Rx-4 coupe). If I find a pic on Facebook from the event (highly likely) then I'll post it here.
So, in no particular order ....

A well set up one of these is surprisingly quick and fast as f##k in the corners. Ask me how I know

Back home, these are very popular for rotary transplants

Not something one would expect to see at a RR event. HWM with a six cylinder Cadillac engine. 1 of !

This innocent Mk1 golf is all about handling. Well under 100 bhp but outpaced most on the day. Brilliant

Crap photo but I was intrigued by the M2 badge on the back.

Turns out, it has a M3 lump hiding under there

The badge says '357'

Ahh, all righty then

STAY TUNED, MORE TOMORROW

Re: Retro Rides Weekender 29th - 30th May 2021
OK, Round Two

Got it yet?

Well done you. It is, of course, one of these

The Bitter SC, It looks a lot like a Ferrari 400 but actually based on an Opel Senator.

The A Team were out in force and brought the standby vehicle as well

Someone appreciates the vibe ...

As any fule noe, red makes it faster ...

No cobwebs to see here

A pair of rather modified 2CV's

Look closely

This is an absolute gem. What the Mini could have been ....

Just the cutest twin carb setup you will ever see ... so dinky

This was super cute

You don't see many of these. A development on the Jalpa ... Lamborghini Silhouette

As I said at the beginning, this is not an extensive collection of pics. There are tons more on social media, particularly Facebook so I suggest you check that out for more.
This is my surprise car of the day. Nice looking Escort looks the business on Sprinter van steels

It was running in the same track session as me so I never got to see it on track but I just happened to glance in the drivwer's window

Did you see what I saw? Here's another clue ..

Can ya tell what it is yet?????
Well done both of you, this blew my mind

13b Renesis in a RWD converted Ford Escort. It's a work of art.

With added front exit exhaust because the builder didn't want to disturb airflow underneath the car

A thankyou to Facebook for the next few as I forgot my charging cable for my phone.
This is Ralph, my friend Jo's Rx-4 coupe and he's an ex NZ car

A better shot of Tim's FB being all acceptable in the 80's

I've asked around and no one knows anything about this one

Manufactured 1973 so that makes it a very rare S1 and originally fitted with a twin dizzy 12a, just like mine back home.
First registered UK in 2020
Listed as 1308cc so runs a 13b now
Does anyone know anything more about it?
And finally, some shots from the Sunday Autosolo. Hard work with our heavy recirculating ball steering but fun nonetheless. The only casualty was my Rx-8 gearknob which stripped the plastic threads and came off in my hand. I'm looking for another one if anyone has such a thing for sale.

That's it.
Thanks for getting this far.
No sound for you Thomas but thankyou for your kind comment. To make ammends, I shall start with something rare and German
