Sticky aerial

Post by CarrieBee »

My radio aerial won't fully retract. So wanted to know where I might find a replacement. Preferably in the UK. Anyone got one they've stripped off a car and have it sitting in a workshop?

It might be worth taking the old one out & give the working a clean & lubricate, I have revived several over the years by doing this, although if the gear teeth have worn in then it is probably US. I replaced mine with a generic one, I recall I had to change the earth or something else that was very simple. It was a spare I had bought for a Shogun

I removed mine completely and put a rubber grommet in its place. I debated putting one of those DAB aerials on the inside of the car as they are quite subtle. But I hate radio, so left it out and just play CD's/bluetooth etc  hahah

I removed mine completely, welded the hole and put an elford spoiler without a hole on the rear. Just play the bridgy sound.😅🤣😂
