Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
I'm sure this has shown up on here before. Owners description doesn't sound like he/she/they are much of an aficionado. Anyone know this car?

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
Just seen this car posted for sale on Facebook.
It is a blue series 2 Elford that has done just over 5k miles.
I am sure I recognise the number plate from previous posts, JAZ5127
The post says it was owned by Cliff Courtney who has now sadly passed away.
Looks to be in great condition but suggests a £20k valuation which does seem a bit high

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
Cliff was a valued and well liked, respected and much missed member of this forum.
The car is stunning (I wish my Elford was as clean) and in my opinion worth every penny of the price tag and the man selling it I can personally vouch for as a complete rotary expert and afficionado.

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
The seller is suggesting a £20k valuation.
What do the members think is a reasonable price?
£20k seems way to high.
It would probably be the highest price ever paid in the UK
I know there was a nice example bought by Mazda 2 or 3 of years ago but I thought that was about £8k but it wasn't an Elford.
It is the same colour as my series 1 so just a bit tempted. Memories get in the way of common sense.
I could sell my FC to help fund....

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
Ian...too expensive? Part of me thinks, find another one like this, other part, a bit much. One thing for sure if kept in this condition, it won't be too many years before it is worth this money....but hey, what do I know. (Hint..Not much)ian65 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 07, 2021 7:16 amI've dropped you a PM KevThreesevens wrote: ↑Wed Jan 06, 2021 8:19 pm The seller is suggesting a £20k valuation.

Re: The Latest 1st gen sightings
I would say : restore a cheaper car in that condition will be more expensive or impossible.
