someone who has a picture or a drawing how the spring is supposed to sit? As like it was sitting it had no function, just hanging lose over the selector shaft.Image

The spring engages on the actual shifter I think, so if you remove the shifter, the spring will be doing nothing. When you put the shifter back in you have to hook it round the spring. Bit of a faff IIRC.

Thanks for the info. Once one put the actual stick in, it all makes sense.
