Havent updated much..

car had been popping under boost... discovered a bad coil... then a burnt lead... changed the leading coils and daaaaaaaaaaaaaamn.... 1-3rd.. last couple of psssssh were third gear trying to get traction... then lost the clutch hahah

the ring on the clutch coil fell off allowing the bearing to pull out of clutch... aka no pedal.. had a spare (original) that I threw in as I had a couple of car shows on sunday...

well on the way to the second show I lost the clutch again... had to drive 30 miles home with no clutch.. the 7 sets of traffic lights were fun haha as was crossing the freeway using the starter and first gear hahaha

luckily I remembered I had bought a new bearing and a buddy picked up a new cage locally (didnt throw in on weekend as we were doing suspension and exhaust on a mates wifes rx7)

Well saturday started on a crap note.. heading to my sons soccer game with plans to hit the dyno after for 3 pulls for $30... 5miles from home pulling a 3rd gear log and lost the clutch pedal for the 3rd time in 3 weeks.. had just replaced the throwout bearing and little clutch ring/cage.. raced home after soccer and fixed the clutch... little over an hr to pull the little ring etc, straighten and fix, fix a starter bolt that stripped, put it all together, screw in a bolt in place of the clutch pedal stop... I think the clutch was over pushing so stopping the pedal travel may have fixed it.. thanks again @kevin_btz for problem solving across country.. hit the dyno after a quick little sprint 40miles to event.. ended up with 412hp 385tq on a mustang dyno.. low boost as the diaphragm is leaking on wastegate and didnt log so not sure what boost.. going from previous logs it dropped to 14-16psi... aiming for 20 or maybe 25psi.. and the car made it home.. yay

2020 strikes..

had some sort of power surge... blew ecu, rear LEDs, stereo, bunch of fuses and a couple of gauges...

Now I need an ecu, Head unit.. tuner was already pushing the ecu idea so now its settled... aem infinity.. would love to add a cd-7 dash but already this repair is going to be about $3k+ so that wont be happening...

car is now officially parked and about to get pushed into corner of the garage till winter where we will strip the interior and a bunch of the wiring out... then redo a bunch of my crappy effort..

What caused that kind of spike you think? Did your regulator take a crap?

Be interesting to see the AEM build take shape - is that where its at at the moment for standalones? It was all about Link over here when I was running a 13bt.

not sure if its the way.. builder/tuner is pushing it for ease of tuning and wider range of info to tune better

we think the alternator took a shit and spiked the system
