Re: Bulb list
That’s perfect.
I will check if I have sealed beam or not this eve. Here is hoping! I think they are halogen from memory and they are quite bright.

Re: Bulb list
Sorry to put spoke in but I don't remember my headlights ever being sealed beam.
I'm sure I swopped out like for like H4 when the reflectors went 'Advisory' on an MOT

Re: Bulb list
Aussie delivered series 3 but possibly earlier came with Koito H4 with replaceable bulbs, not sealed.

Re: Bulb list
May well be that UK spec was different? Some markets were sealed beam OEM for sure. Even the Haynes manual shows swapping out a headlamp for a new one and no mention of H4 bulbs in the bulb list.
Take a look at this video from the US Original is clearly sealed beam https://youtu.be/R3e5O6QbmqY
No exterior ring on mine though, more a sandwich type retainer. Remove the entire lamp by pushing against the springs and twisting. Then remove the ring from around the lamp. Maybe just a later design?
Video is a giggle. Guy admits that he has no idea how to adjust headlights but goes and swaps them out anyway. And there is swearing,

Re: Bulb list
US is definitely sealed. That is why it Haynes refers to it.
Just checked my Mazda factory manual for export RHD and it shows bulbs replacement for "except German spec" and sealed replacement for "German spec". This is the 1981 (s2) supplement.

Re: Bulb list
FWIW, I'm yet to 100% confirm, but I think the RX7 headlamps with replaceable H4 bulbs are virtually identical to MX-5 Mk1 items, Mazda part no. NA1051031A
These are widely available brand new. Also made by Koito. The main difference appears to be that these are E-marked (being newer items)
There are many other applications for which 7" H4 semisealed globes are supplied by Koito as OEM eg Toyota landcruiser. I've found these brand new for a cheap price pre-fitted with Philips H4 bulbs from Toyota dealerships. However, the globe is completely flat and I believe ours are slightly curved. I don't have access to my car though so I can't check.
I have found a reference picture to NOS semi-sealed headlamps with the original Mazda part no. for the RX-7 - it is the same as early model stuff. This image was listed for a Mazda Familia though so even though it is the same part number, Koito could have changed the design by the time the RX7 came along.
