Not done anything on my SA unfortunaltely other then get a complete bushes kit (thanks to Johnny boy and also for the ride in miss January, my first ever ride in a gen1!!)
I am busy trying to fix my Jetta. Tightening the bolts on my subframe to the correct torque setting after sand blasting, rust treating, acid etching, zinc etching and final spraying in gloss black, the bloody bolts only went and stripped the thread out of the wishbone mount
So, I went inside, had a beer, went to see the misses and spent the weekend contemplating my RX7 instead. Needless to say, workshop time is booked at Rotechniks, van is hired for parts coming off, SGS called about rear window struts, wheel refurbishers and air compressors researched, POR15 and paint stripping consumables etc purchased. Feel much better ;)

Good to see a proper garage Keith, instead of these hygenic decorated-out places. Good Man.

I finished pulling it apart at 10pm last night so didnt have a good look at it but my first impressions are "Its Stuffed"!
Its the engine that a bought just for the sump and when I got it the guy told me it wasnt good, in fact I couldnt turn it over by hand, it went so far then locked up.
Just thought Id pull it apart for fun, took me about an hour to strip it, I think it would take a little longer to build one up, lots of fiddly stuff to deal with but not rocket science.
