With an MOT 2,400 might be fair - it looks good....
But with no MOT (or test drive) it shold be less than a thousand...

Re: just seen this...
It must be quite special, what with it's Wankle Rotory Engein and 500 hp... that would explain the need for a driver airbag as listed in safety features. No engein bay pics though to shed any light on where the 500 horsepowers could be lurking.Steve-A wrote:I read that bit about 'ported till its 5000cc' bit and laughed. I guess that shows the general publics level of understanding of how the rotary actually works!
Apparently it sounds remarkable, could be the exhorst or the sterio.......................

Curious as to WTF "Transmission: Other" means
Errr, is it the third, little-known type of trans.... manual, auto and Flintstones Floor?

Re: just seen this...
That plate doesn't look right. Is it an Irish car or something?

Re: just seen this...
It's Fine. It's a Re Reg ....a Co. Antrim plate. Quite a few older cars and buses in England run on Irish Plates, they're easily transferrable and they hide the vehicle's age. (Except from us anorak spotters that is).mullins wrote:That plate doesn't look right. Is it an Irish car or something?
Trouble is there's a need now to know what that S2's original plate was.....A bit difficult unless it ends up on here.

Gold RX7 for sale
Another gold s2 for sale..... there seems to be a bit of a gold s2 sale on at the moment!
£150 start... no reserve . 1st registered 26.08.1983 currently on sorn.

It's with great regret that I have to sell this rare, collectable Mazda RX7. I owned one of these cars back in 1986 from new & loved it so much, I've always had a dream of getting hold of a project. I thought I'd found just the car in this model & bought it after realising it had a GENUINE 580000 miles on the clock. It's a 2 owner car, the last being a lady who's not driven it for several years. As a result, it's rusted from the top down! it's simply too much work for me to take on but is a perfect project for someone with the time & passion.
There's several good points about this motor; good tyres, good, original alloys, complete interior, little rust on the wheel arches, money spent on the rear suspension, solid underside. The main rust is around the windscreen & under the rear bumper, apart form that it's not too bad.
So...it's a low mileage, no MOT rare sports car from the 80's & once restored, in my opinion, one of the prettiest cars of its day!
cheapo project for someone..... or more likely a parts car.
this car previously sold on ebay in October 2011 for £229.98... it was in Exeter then....
and was described as:
Hi there welcome to the sale of my rx7 I am the second owner and have owned it for 25 years and sadley it is for a restoration project or spares .
