So time passed, I am a big boy now and filled my dream finally - besides my MX-5 I now own this ´84 FB imported from Switzerland and simply LOVE IT!She is in a pretty good shape, not rusted except one sill in fron of left rear wheel, but offcourse there is a lot to do. She was at one owner from the beginning to 2003 when she was bought by a dealer and sits since then with some regular drives (5000km) - odo shows 136000km.
Well what is the plan? To get her to driveable condition! I don´t want her to be like new, it is 32yrs old car and I love her smell and her imperfections, but want her run great so I´ll start with the engine problems:
- water temperature indicator is dead, I tried to switch it from another car, but it did not helped
- fan clutch is dead - I hate that vacuum cleaner noise!
- battery/alternator indicator is dead
will continue with regular checks:
- oil replacement
- water system flush/replacement
- brake/clutch fluid replacement
etc - offcourse I will document it
