Hi from Czech Republic...

Post by PavelS »

...country of a good beer and Mazda cars (well, I wish :D )

Hello there, I am Pavel, totally new in a rotary clan. I am a miata guy - had almost all generations, with special love to first one, NA. This is the (car) love of my life, my neverending project car:

But anyway - I will no talk about a Miata on RX7 forum, right? I allways loved RX7s, but never had a gutts to buy one - especially allways wanted an FD, but secrectly loved SA/FB. Well time has passed and last year I ran over one FB car in a used car shop when was doing a company to a friend buying an Miata. When we was finished with the deal, I spent an hour looking around a nice white FB imported from a Switzerland. It was in a pretty good shape, shop owner told me it runs good etc. But I was not prepared yet that year ;s; After some time, when I had some money, started to search if it is still available - and she was. She sat there waiting for me for more than a year :P So I persuaded my friend (who I talked into another FB few months ago) to go with me and do me a company. Long story short, I bought this white beauty as my first wankel engined car, my oldtimer project, my pension :)

Promise I will try to ask only inteligent questions, use search function as much as I can and google translate as less as I can 0-0

Hi Pavel,
Many Greetings.
No need to use translate, we all speak fluent Czech on here......and make many good jokes....

(We are so lucky here in UK....or are we?.....that most of the world now speaks in our language. Easy for business and international conversation.....but maybe a little too easy for UK people)?

Anyway......great to hear from you.

Díky! About that fog lights, actually I don´t see them much even on the pictures - it was a standard at UK? Because my car is Switzerland spec and I don´t actually know about their laws in these days. What I know, that we had fog lights law I think at late eighties to early nineties so they have it like this too... And as it is a oldtimer in here, it has to be completely original so I don´t have to fit them -yeeehaaa yay

FB Series 3 cars in UK had to have rear fog light. It was fitted just near the exhaust under the bumper.

Series 2........? We've had one and can't remember a rear fog light.

every UK market 1st gen RX7 sold after 1st October 1979 had to have a rear fog light fitted... it was installed by the dealer prior to sale.
