Re: Sticky the Rally Car
Awesome. I hope you have the template as a lot of people would love to buy this rack set-up.
Back in the UK for the summer, maybe longer......
Re: Sticky the Rally Car
Good job.
don't like the look at the angle of steering column... odd angles.
Question on IDA, spotted there's no spare accelerator pump well..?
Ha! paper gasket coved it..
why not open it up with slot milling or drill wee holes at the bottom of spare accelerator well.
it give extra more fuel in the bowl.

Ok Thomas,
I will sort something.
I've been busy, but it probably doesn't look like I have done very much !

Re: Sticky the Rally Car
I've been doing all sorts of odd jobs on the car, the plan is for a complete dry build before final paint on all the wings doors and a repaint of the interior. So to the radiator. I sourced a decent fan and fitted that up to an ally rad, I also moved the expansion tank as it will get in the way of the cold air feed otherwise.

I apologise that this upside down, photobucket will not rotate it.........

I made up some brackets to fit the fan, hopefully it will be man enough to get the flow needed when stationary.

Re: Sticky the Rally Car
For now I am going to run the car with standard front end, I hope to fit a GpB bumper and grille later, but that will need a fair bit of work, so for the time being it will be a standard set up.
So I stripped the headlights, blasted and primed them, I've sourced all new fittings for the rebuild. I need to keep them upright as I wont be using the motors.

I fabricated a keep for the bonnet stay.....

Re: Sticky the Rally Car
The bottom of both wings were a bit ropey,

so I made up repair sections and welded them up.

I also welded up the side repeater holes. (MOT regs say needed post August 1984)

I need to take a few more photo's of the wings, I forgot at the time...
