Just bought my first rotary- Matt Desmond

Post by desmondm2005 »

Hi all,

I just recently picked up my 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE...currently in the works of fixing her up while driving her daily...I paid $700 for her and she was not running at time of purchase...put a new fuel pump on her, got her running and now working on her brakes (bought some drilled and slotted rotors). Names Matt and any info on how to fix these cars up will be greatly appreciated.

Keep the fuel clean. Maybe drain your fuel tank and check for any debris in there.

All it needed was a fuel pump...after I got it installed it runs like a champ now...drive it pretty much every day

But I'm saying check your fuel for debris anyways. There's a drain plug you can unscrew, Size 14mm. My tank was disgusting inside. I'm in the process of cleaning it out and treating it with the POR15 sealant.
