Guys, thankyou for your warm [in the circumstances!!!] welcome at Shelsley ... was good to put some faces to names and also very interesting to see how the cars look in person to evaluate how far I take my own project. As on the forum, everyone was very helpful, and full of information, which, although I worked for a Mazda Dealership for 10 years, we never dealt in Rx-7's so its all pretty much new to me... Due to unforeseen circumstances, I haven't been able to get started on my car as yet, so was disappointed not to be able to bring it to the show..... but driving back on the M6 Sunday afternoon, I would have probably needed oxygen tanks and flippers if I had !!!
Although there was the most torrential rain that cut short my visit, it was an unbelievable treat, and gave me a very warm feeling to see 8 RX 7's lined up together.
And looking around, even though the design is over 35 years old... they still could have come from the factory yesterday ... a timeless classic.
I look forward to having mine back on the road and taking in a few more shows.
