Dunno mate. New one on me.
Check all alarm lights are lit up before starting. (To make sure one's not been disconnected...?)
Then as you'll know the chime will warn if the lights are left on with the ignition 'off'. No link to problem there?
Otherwise?????
Dave

Re: When I turn the ignition on.......
Well it turns out that when i removed the radio i noticed a loose plug. I also noticed that it was the same size as a mount in the back of the cubby hole (under radio) so i plugged it in. This caused the park lights to come on as soon as i switched on the ignition.
So solution was to undo this plug. Problem solved. Wierd though...... any else have this plug thing in the back of the cubby hole.

Yes I've got that plug. Mine was plugged in when I first took the car to bits, so I left it plugged in. My parking lights don't come on as far as I know?
The cubby panel has got more pins on the back of it than the plug has, so maybe it can go in two different ways?

My old B reg had the day running lights on when I got her, I unplugged the wires from the back of the cubby hole and they went off just like yours.
Doesnt seem to effect any of the other electrics.
